EU looks to curb powers of Big Tech with new Digital Services Act

Brussels is preparing rules that could force Big Tech companies to share their huge banks of customer data files with smaller rivals. (Editor’s note: A lot of the data that big tech collects from its customers and users is provided voluntarily by customers and users, yet on the basis of contracts or user agreements. Sharing this data would in many cases mean that tech companies breach these contracts and agreements with their users and customers. Aside from that, by opening up their data bases big tech companies would give the EU communist bloc unhindered access to people’s online activities, purchase and interaction data and would enable the communist bloc to create detailed profiles of individual users and customers.)
